Currently we looking for an accurate head count of the children of Rosa and Samuel Robertson and their children that are interested in attending. Remember, all family is invited to attend. We will also be creating a family tree as we get this information as well. So far ideas have been mentioned about having the social gathering at a park like Bear Creek Lake or Pocahontas Park there in Richmond, it also has been stated that we want to keep as close to Cumberland as possible to minimize drive times to each function. In case of rain we looking into an alternate place to have the function I.E. a community center or maybe a hotel with a conference room. Betty is also looking into the local hotels in Farmville VA for group rates, this will be passed on as soon as I get that info. Links to local hotels are on this website.

Betty (Queenbee) noted that a similar gathering really didn't have much for the little ones to do so the Bear Creek Lake is a good option because of swimming and a few games will be setup as well this will make it a little more entertaining for them which I think is a good idea. 

​

Betty mentioned  possibly chartering a bus for family members in the New Jersey area that will bring the group who don't feel like making that 6 hr ride to Virginia, more information will be added as it is received. 

​

So far we are looking into Games, Cookout at Bear Creek Lake, Chartering a bus from New Jersey and a DJ and as I understand it William is an accomplished DJ maybe we can sweet talk him into spinning some oldies as well as some new flavors for us as well. We would also like to have Sunday Worship at Mount Olive Baptist Church for those who would be interested before we depart. This is fitting since this is our family church and it will give each of us to pay respects to our departed family.

Greetings All, just was looking at some of the hotels in Farmville and a Few questions come to mind and we are going to need some infomation:

 

1. we need to start getting a head count of the possible attendees for the reunion Nothing set in stone but something if you plan on attending and how many people will be with you.

 

2. How many single and or double beds are we going to need?

 

3. Are there any special accomodations we need to address. I.E. Wheel Chair access or need rooms on the first floor things of this nature.

 

Its early and the more information we can get at this stage the better we will know  what exactly  we'll need to come up with and whats going to be available days before our event.

We are open to suggestions and ideas anyone may have to assist Betty (QueenBee) and Myself to make this a reunion to remember.

So get those heads together and that information for us, we understand things happen and can't plan for the unexpected, but a ball park figure will be greatly appreciated.

OK Family I have some information about one of the hotels listed on our site. Please keep in mind this is all tentative and things can and usually change before the actual event. Please keep in touch and view the website and Facebook for updated information as I receive it.

So, I was able to get some information on Days Inn in Farmville.

Ok, the number to Days Inn is (434) 607-4730 and this pricing is for rooms numbering 20+

Cost is $76.49 plus Tax per day, $257.67 for all 3 days. $20.00 for pet if applicable at most $40.00.

Can Cancel 24 hours ahead should something comes up last minute. Once we get things locked in you will be responsible for booking your room. We will have it set up so that you’ll say you’re with the Robertson-Johnson Reunion group so your discounted price will be applied, we will also be verifying that the people in these rooms are actually a part of our group, if not they will be asked to find a different room or the Hotel will apply the correct pricing for that person or persons. Just keeping it 100%

Free Continental breakfast, free WIFI and outdoor pool

They also have One (1) Wheel Chair accessible room.

We are currently awaiting Manager call back to get some info on the other hotels we have listed on the site.
